I have really enjoyed  living on the Dalmatia Coast.

Last Sunday we went to Zlatni Rat.  The beach looked like a large V or finger.  The bottom half of the finger was for nudists! The other three quarters were nudist free. I swam in the nudist free zone.  It was 10 degrees but this did not stop me froom being in the water for 5 hours.

There is also lots of seafood on Brac.  Dad bought three live squid last night.  He cut their eye balls out.  It was disgusting but they tasted great! on the way home from Zlatni Rat we went to a restaurant run by Za Za and her son.  They made the best garlic'n'fish soup and pasta. YUMMMMO!!!

n Tuesday we went to Supetar and there were MASSIVE water slides We had dinner in Split. We had the biggest pizza in the world.

and paddle boats with slides on the top.

Yesterday we had a day off school and went looking for a house.  We found an awesome one and the owners gave us chocolate caramels!

Off to Croatia....Part 2 of our Europe Adventure!!!!!!

A few days ago we went to the jousting festival. It was awesome! They said it would be at 8:30pm but it started at 9:45pm. Typical Italian time!!! At the end they started charging at some of the parents.

On Sunday we went to the Festa di Tulipano (festival of tulips). We had to wait for hours to see the floats that were made of tulips. They were awesome!!! One of my favourite floats was Batman.

On the last day in Paciano we had a pizza party. Some friends came over and we watched a movie.

When we left Italy we took a car ferry to Croatia.  It took a whole night and I had to sleep on a coach with a bag as my pillow and no blankets. When we got to Split we had to take another 1 hour ferry to Brac. It had an awesome view from the top deck.  When we got there Ranko showed us our apartment.

Brac is a little island that has loads of beaches.  We go swimming every day. Today we bought reef shoes as most of the beaches are made of stones.

On Easter we got up and ate some giant Easter eggs that were rapped in cellophane. Then we went to have lunch at Regula and Pasquale's house. Before lunch we had an indoor Easter egg hunt.  I was the 1st to find my egg, it was taped under the chair.  Then we had 2 giant eggs each. They were delicious!!!  For lunch we had lasagna. It was delicious!!!! I can't remember what we had for dessert but it was also...... DELICIOUS!!!  Pasquale had a locked cabinet full of guns and So many bullets. He used them to hunt cinghiale (wild boar) They guns were AWESOME!!!!!

We went to Panicale on Easter Monday, Pasquetta (little Easter) and they had a cheese rolling competition. The winner is the one to roll their 4kg pecorino cheese wheel around the town. One time the pecorino banged into a car and gave it a huge dent.  Everyone cheered when it hit the car because the car should not have been there.  Cheese rolling,  Ruzzolone, is a cross between yoyoing and bowling. The players wrap a cord around the edge of the cheese wheel before flinging it around the village.  There is also a lot of loud arguing between the two teams.   In the centre of town there was lots of music and food. We  also were lucky to be there when they bashed open a "tall as you are" Easter egg. It was MASSIVE. Taller than me and probably heavier than me.   One lucky kid got to smash it open with a hammer!  We had some of the egg. The chocolate was soooo thick.  YUM!!!!! Or should I say...DELICIOUS!!!!!

At home Signora Marisa came and cooked gnocchi  with mum and Josie.  For dolce she made a gigantic strawberry cream cake. It was delicious!!! She comes every Wednesday night. She is a better cook than mum .............don't tell mum!!
